ENTROPY

ENTROPY

Entropy is the physical measure of disorder. Our universe is striving towards a maximum entropy, that is, if no force acts against it, chaos increases. Nevertheless, gravity manages to create formations that are structured, i.e. more orderly. This is how clusters, galaxies, solar systems, stars and planets are formed. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, for example, is a rotating spiral galaxy held together by dark matter and a black hole in its center.
In the painting series ENTROPY, structures also arise from disorder - due to the solution energy of salt crystals in liquid ink, new galaxies, interstellar nebulae and black holes are formed. In the process of creation, the question of chaos, order - and entropy arises.
